Infrastructure for agents that remember.
Co-founding Kairn: an agent infrastructure layer that connects products to LLMs through one API. It brings together persistent memory, reusable agent identities, controlled tool access, and autonomous execution, with banking as a key application.
Project context & technical scope
- The problem
- Product teams need more than a model response: they need continuity between conversations, separation between users, and agents that can act through business tools. Kairn provides this layer.
- Memory & identity
- Reusable agent definitions (“souls”) separate character, business context, tool permissions, and model choice. Persistent memory is scoped by user and role, while sessions carry conversation history.
- Execution & integration
- A typed Node.js / TypeScript SDK supports synchronous calls, streamed events, and background jobs with polling or webhook callbacks. Custom skills can expose external services as callable tools.
- Autonomy & visibility
- Cron-based mandates run tasks with the user’s memory and agent permissions. Invocation records expose tool calls, memory changes, token usage, duration, and execution status. Anthropic, OpenAI, and OpenRouter models are supported.
